products and deliver superior customer service.
Folding and Gluing
Sometimes paper is meant to deliver more than a written message.
It can open and close, pop up, stand up or hang. We can mount
to a number of different substrates including paper-to-paper,
paper-to-board, or paper-to-plastic.
The process uses a tool or mechanical pressure to produce
a sharply defined fold before securing the piece. In mechanical
folding, the sheet is doubled between two rollers under an
appropriate amount of pressure for the thickness of the paper.
The end result is a sharp fold that virtually eliminates the
paper’s natural tendency to remain flat. The glues used
in securing a piece can be hot or cold, removable or permanent.
Whether it’s flat piece work, pocket folders or marketing
brochures, Alco Print Finishers has the skills and finishing
techniques required to complete these and many other demanding
project requirements.

jackets, shipping envelopes, brochures and table tents
Job Parameters
Sheet sizes from 4” X 6” to 28” X 27”
100 lb to 24 point stock
Embossing
Embossing simply means to press paper into a relief using
force. It requires the use of a metal (female) die and a matching
(male) counterdie. When the paper stock is pressed between
the die, the desired image is pressed into the stock. Embossing
creates a raised image while debossing creates an indented
image.

folders and annual report covers
Job Parameters

High Speed Scoring
& Perforating
High speed scoring & perforating uses high speed equipment
to score and/or perforate sheets of paper at speeds faster
than can be achieved on conventional letterpress equipment.
It is best to fold and score parallel to the paper’s
grain. When a fold in both directions is required, it is best
to fold with the grain first and then against the grain.

Mailers, brochures, presentation folders and form letters
Job Parameters
Sheet sizes from 8.5” X 11” to 28” X 40”
80 lb to 18 point stock
Bindery and Other Capabilities
Our services don’t end with laminating or mounting.
Bindery services involve managing the smallest of details.
We offer finishing touches like eyeletting, drilling and shrink
wrapping which makes the difference between a good job and
a great finished project.
Transfer Taping
The process applies different types of sticky tapes with release
liners to many kinds of substrates. Multiple ribbons of tape
are possible, as well as continuous strips or skip taping.
Permanent and removable adhesives are available.
Eyeletting
This is the process of insetting a metal fastener inside a
hole for attaching, combining or reinforcement purposes. Each
diameter and length requires separate tooling; therefore we
attempt to use existing tools when possible. A variety of
sizes are available.
Round Cornering
This process changes square edges to different radius for
appearance and safety. Many different radiuses are available.
Guillotine Cutting
Straight edge cutting on up to 42” wide paper and chipboard
